and the correct number is . . .

426

Congratulations to the winners! Although a few of you had more than one guess that was closest to the actual number, I took the top six people! In other words, 6 different people have each won 1 book.

And the lucky (I mean "skilled") winners are . . .

1. Janet Ruth (Wahoo, Janet!)
2. Shaunna Sorensen (Way to go, Shauna!)
3. Krista Jensen (3 cheers for Krista!)
4. Heather (You go, girl!)
5. Tabby Lewis (Go Tabby!)
6. Kim Coates (Congrats, Kim!)

I have emailed each of the winners so be sure to check your inbox and send me your book choice as well as your mailing address. Thanks to everyone who entered!

Jumping Jelly Bean Contest and Book Giveaway

Finally, a contest of skill (well, sort of) rather than luck! (I am the unluckiest person alive when it comes to winning prizes so this is the kind of contest I like). No, the jellybeans don't actually jump, but if you can figure out how many pieces of candy are in the vase pictured above, or have one of the six closest guesses, you will win one of the following six books (click on the picture to read more about them):

Now for the rules:
(for some reason, blogger seems to be experiencing some intermittent problems, so if you aren't able to post a comment, just email me at rachael(at)rachaelreneeanderson(dot)com. Thanks!

The contest will run for the entire month of April.

For your
first guess, you need to become a follower of this blog and post your guess in the comments section. (Don't forget to leave your email address so I can contact you if you should win. The email address will be used for this contest ONLY!)

For
3 additional guesses, you can do one or all of the following
  1. Tweet the contest on Twitter.
  2. Mention it on Facebook.
  3. Write about it on your blog.
(Just be sure to include a link or explanation of what you chose to do)

At the end of the month, I will post the correct number and contact the lucky (I mean
skilled) winners. The closest guess will have the first pick of the books and so on, and the sixth closets guess will get whatever book is leftover.
