Brighton Andrews has never had a problem getting a girl to go out with him. So when his friends dare him to ask out three roommates at the same time, he figures this will be the easiest bet he'll ever win--even with the added clause that the girls can't find out they're all dating the same guy. And with a whole month free from laundry at stake, who could resist? Of course, that's before he meets the girls. Fast-paced, witty, and full of fun, the odds are stacked that this is one book you won't be able to put down.
Excerpt from Luck of the Draw
“This is the end of our date,” he said. “And you just told me that you won’t go out with me, at least not any time in the next eight years, so this is pretty much my only opportunity.”
“Opportunity?” Dani raised her eyebrows. “For what, exactly?”
“Well,” Jeff said, taking a step closer. “How about you start off by telling me what a great time you had with me tonight.”
Dani fought a threatening smile. Dutifully, she repeated, “I had a great time with you tonight. Now what?”
“I reply in kind, of course,” he said. “I had a wonderful time with you as well.”
“Did you, now?”
“I did,” he said.
“I actually did too.” She meant it this time.
“So you said.”
“True. Are we done here?”
“No,” Jeff took another step closer. “Now tell me, what would a stubborn and beautiful girl do to say good-bye to a guy who she didn’t want to be out with in the first place? A nod, a handshake, a hug . . .” his voice drifted off and he looked at her with a question in his amused eyes.
Dani laughed. “Sorry, but I don’t give hugs on dates.”
“What about a handshake, then?”
“Even worse.”
“Worse?”
Dani spoke without thinking. “Yes. Nana says that handshakes come from the cowardly and hugs from the weak-minded. She’s always saying, ‘If a man truly has a spine, he will brazenly kiss you and offer no apology for doing so.’ ”
Jeff smiled outright. “Well, in that case.” He dipped his head and brought his lips to hers before she had a chance to respond.
